March is a significant month for cinephiles as numerous acclaimed films, many of them Oscar nominees, become available on streaming platforms. Hulu is launching three international selections: 'The Secret Agent,' 'Sentimental Value,' and 'It Was Just an Accident.'
'The Secret Agent' and 'Sentimental Value' are recognized as best picture nominees, with all three films having garnered awards at the Cannes Film Festival last May. Notably, 'It Was Just an Accident' secured the prestigious Palme d'Or, while 'The Secret Agent' earned best director and best actor awards.
Another highly anticipated release is 'Hamnet,' a drama directed by Chloe Zhao and starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal. The film is nominated for eight Academy Awards, including best picture. Jessie Buckley is a strong contender for best actress, having already won awards at the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, and BAFTAs.
Beyond Oscar contenders, Peacock will stream 'Wicked: For Good,' a musical sequel that achieved over $500 million globally at the box office. Netflix is also set to premiere 'Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man,' a movie continuation of the popular series, with Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby.
