Marc Maron, often candid about his lack of awards, may finally be on the path to recognition with his first-ever lead performance. The dark comedy "In Memoriam," written and directed by Rob Burnett, debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this month. The film is currently without a distributor.

Burnett, who has a long history in late-night television, discussed the film and Maron's podcast "WTF" in a recent podcast appearance. The premiere at Tribeca marks a significant step for Maron's acting career, moving beyond his acclaimed work on "GLOW" and his stand-up specials.
