Summary
- Actor Manju Warrier filed a suit against director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan.
- The Ernakulam munsiff court issued a temporary order against the director.
- Previous cases related to stalking and defamation are pending court.
Actress Manju Warrier has filed an injunction suit against director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan in the Ernakulam munsiff court, alleging repeated defamation and the dissemination of false news. The court has responded by issuing a temporary order that bars Sasidharan from making any further defamatory statements concerning Warrier.
Warrier's legal representative, Santhi Mayadevi, highlighted that the director has been frequently involved in defaming the actress through various media and social media platforms. The injunction suit seeks to halt these actions, and the court has directed Sasidharan to cease such behavior. Media outlets that have shared the alleged fake information have also been named as respondents in the case.
This legal action follows previous complaints filed by Warrier against Sasidharan. In 2022 and 2025, she provided confidential statements to the magistrate regarding incidents of stalking and defamation. Both of these cases remain pending in court. The lawyer emphasized that it is unfair for the media to expect Warrier to comment on every allegation made against her. The legal team intends to pursue both criminal and civil proceedings against the director, with the next court date set for September 30.
