Manju Warrier Files Defamation Suit Against Filmmaker

Actress Manju Warrier has initiated legal proceedings by filing an injunction suit at the Third Additional Munsiff Court in Kochi. She alleges that filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has repeatedly defamed her through extensive statements and content shared on various media and social media platforms. The court has issued notices to Sasidharan, Malayalam online news portal operator Shajan Skaria, and Meta Platforms Inc., with a hearing scheduled for November 5.

A temporary injunction has been granted, restraining Sasidharan from further defaming the actor. Warrier's counsel stated that the filmmaker generates a significant amount of content daily aimed at damaging Warrier's reputation. This legal action comes after Warrier had previously filed criminal cases against Sasidharan in 2022 and 2023, alleging continued defamation despite earlier proceedings.
