Turkish girl group manifest recently took to the stage at London's Wembley Arena for their first-ever UK concert, a major milestone in their pursuit of international recognition. The six-member group, formed through the Turkish talent competition Big5 Türkiye, aims to expand their reach beyond their home country.
The band's journey has not been without significant challenges. Last year, they faced legal scrutiny in Istanbul over allegations of public indecency related to their concert outfits and choreography. A Turkish court later imposed suspended prison sentences on the members.
Despite these domestic hurdles, manifest is focused on global success, aspiring to perform at major international festivals. They released their first English-language single, 'TRALALA,' which topped YouTube charts, but express a strong desire to promote their Turkish-language music internationally.
manifest cite the Spice Girls as an inspiration and have even met global pop star Dua Lipa. Their London visit also included a fan signing event and provided them with an opportunity to connect with their UK-based supporters.
