Mangaluru Prepares for Vibrant Dasara Procession Featuring State's Diverse Talent

On October 2nd, 2025, the city of Mangaluru in Karnataka is gearing up to host its renowned Dasara festival procession, which is expected to draw thousands of tourists from both domestic and international locations. The grand event will feature a spectacular display of the state's diverse cultural heritage, with over 60 tableaux and art troupes from across Karnataka set to participate.

The Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, which organizes the Mangaluru Dasara festival, has been making extensive preparations to make the procession more vibrant and engaging. Temple treasurer Padmaraj R Poojary and committee president Jairaj H Somasundaram have requested cooperation from the public to ensure the successful execution of the event.

Strict guidelines have been issued by the local police department to maintain order and safety during the procession. These include prohibitions on the use of DJs and open jeeps, as well as the requirement for all participating vehicles to have valid insurance and necessary documents. Traffic diversions and designated parking areas have also been arranged to facilitate the smooth flow of the event.
