Mangaluru Concert Raises Hope for Cancer Kids

Mangaluru witnessed a remarkable display of talent and generosity with 'Symphony of Hope,' a charity concert held at the Fr Muller Convention Centre. Over 200 artistes, including musicians and performers from India and abroad, united their talents to support children battling paediatric cancer.

The sold-out event attracted approximately 1,600 attendees, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of music, dance, and theatre. The multidisciplinary production featured a symphony orchestra, choir, opera singers, ballet dancers, bharatanatyam performers, and theatre artists, showcasing the rich artistic heritage of Mangaluru.

Months of dedicated preparation culminated in a spectacular evening, with some musicians rehearsing for up to six months. The repertoire seamlessly blended Western popular culture, contemporary music, and Indian influences, featuring pieces from Hollywood, Broadway, Disney, and popular Indian artists.

Beyond its artistic achievements, 'Symphony of Hope' served a crucial philanthropic purpose: raising support for children undergoing cancer treatment and their families. Event director Munita Veigas Rao highlighted the vision to celebrate Mangaluru's talent while advocating for a meaningful cause. The concert concluded with a powerful rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Heal the World,' symbolizing unity and hope.
