The 55th Kerala State Film Awards were held on November 3, 2025, recognizing the best of Kerala's cinema in the previous year. At the ceremony, veteran actor Mammootty was named the Best Actor for his performance in the film 'Bramayugam', directed by Rahul Sadasivan. Meanwhile, the award for Best Film went to 'Manjummel Boys', directed by Chidambaram S Poduval.
The winners were announced by Kerala's Minister for Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs, Saji Cherian, at a press conference in Thrissur. Other notable winners included Shamla Hamza, who received the Best Actress award for 'Feminichi Fathima', and Lijomol Jose, who won the Best Character Artist (Female) award for 'Nadanna Sambhavam'.
The ceremony also recognized the talents of Soubin Shahir and Sidharth Bharathan, who shared the Best Character Artist (Male) award for their performances in 'Manjummel Boys' and 'Bramayugam', respectively. The Special Jury Award for Acting was presented to Tovino Thomas and Asif Ali for their work in 'ARM' and 'Kishkindha Kaandam'.
