Malcolm in the Middle Revival Set for 2026

Fans of "Malcolm in the Middle" have reason to celebrate as a revival is confirmed for 2026. The limited series, officially named "Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair," will consist of four episodes and stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. A teaser has already dropped, hinting at the show's signature comedic style and paying homage to memorable moments.

The new installment will see the return of nearly all original main cast members, including Bryan Cranston as Hal and Jane Kaczmarek as Lois. The plot centers on Malcolm being pulled back into his family's orbit after a decade of estrangement, prompted by Hal and Lois's upcoming 40th anniversary party. This reunion promises to reignite the dynamic that made the show a hit.

Linwood Boomer, the original creator, is back as a writer and executive producer, ensuring the revival stays true to the show's spirit. Ken Kwapis will direct all episodes. The series is produced by 20th Television under Disney Branded Television, with a host of executive producers including Cranston himself.
