Malachi Barton: Disney's New Heartthrob's Meteoric Rise

At 19, Malachi Barton is cementing his status as Disney's newest heartthrob, starring in a trio of prominent projects: the vampire role of Victor in the Zombies movies, aspiring musician Fletch in the Camp Rock revival, and warlock Jake in the Freeform series Coven Academy. His popularity is undeniable, with young fans showing immense enthusiasm, as seen during the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide tour. Barton's rise is further recognized by Variety's Rising Star Award, received in August 2026.

Despite his soaring career, Barton prioritizes his personal life, living with his parents and cherishing his faith and friendships. He finds solace in prayer, surfing, and exploring abandoned places, and relies on friends to keep him humble. His personal life, including his family, who have supported his career since childhood, plays a crucial role in his grounding. He also recently purchased his first home, though his filming schedule often keeps him on the move internationally.
