Directed by Ashwin Kumar, 'Mahavatar Narsimha' delves into the stories of Lord Vishnu's avatars, Varaha and Narsimha. This marks the initial installment of an ambitious seven-film series envisioned by the director. The production, backed by Hombale Films, boasted a budget of approximately Rs 40 crore and achieved significant box office success in India.
Following its theatrical runs, the film was made available for streaming on Netflix. 'Mahavatar Narsimha' is now among 35 eligible films for the animated feature category, with the shortlist to be announced soon. The makers are already developing the sequel, 'Mahavatar Parasuram'.
