Furthermore, a film is proposed to be produced on the renowned Sanskrit poet Kalidasa, underscoring Ramtek's deep association with him. This move is intended to educate new generations about his life and writings and to attract visitors.
The proposed film city will occupy approximately 60 acres, with the Nagpur district administration instructed to expedite land transfer. The facility will offer modern production support and promote regional cinema.
Authorities believe that highlighting Ramtek's cultural legacy, particularly its connection to Kalidasa and his poem Meghdootam, will significantly boost tourism. The development plan also includes improving connectivity and preserving local landmarks.
