- The film aims to instill devotion and cultural values in young minds.

The animated feature film Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Odisha's first, will now be released nationwide on August 28, following a Supreme Court decision. The film was initially slated for a July 17 premiere but faced an interim stay from the Orissa High Court. This stay was issued after a Public Interest Litigation sought judicial review of the film's content.
The production house appealed the High Court's decision to the Supreme Court, highlighting the film's Central Board of Film Certification 'U' certification and the potential financial impact on over 300 booked theaters. The apex court's intervention paved the way for the film's nationwide release.
Producer Durga Prasad Dalai expressed gratitude, stating the film was created with devotion and respect for culture. The goal is to share Lord Jagannath's grace with children and families globally through animation. The film follows the success of the animated series 'Jay Jagannath'.
