Goddess Durga Animated: A Mythological Epic Arrives Feb 2027

A new animated feature, "Maha Devi Adishakti - The Legend of Maa Durga," is slated for a worldwide cinema release in February 2027. Directed by Milind Nandanwar and penned by Akshat Gupta, the film promises to bring tales of the Divine Mother to life through animation. It will showcase various forms of the Goddess, including Mahishasuramardini and Kali.

The production emphasizes a handcrafted approach, with over 150 animators contributing to the project, deliberately opting against AI influence. This artistic choice aims to preserve the traditional essence of Indian cultural and spiritual narratives.

Producer Gaurav Malhotra highlighted the film's intent to resonate with contemporary audiences, particularly children and families. By adapting timeless stories into an engaging format, the makers seek to foster a shared experience of culture, values, and devotion across generations.

Music for the film is composed by Shreyas Puranik. The makers are dedicated to introducing these significant stories from India's heritage to a younger audience, ensuring their spiritual relevance is maintained.
