In 2011, Nora, a newcomer from Arizona, embarks on an internship at the renowned literary journal, Platen. Her initial tasks involve reading submissions and preparing coffee, but she soon finds herself immersed in the exclusive social scene of the high-profile magazine.
Despite the prevalent snobbery, Nora's feelings of alienation are eased by her crush on associate editor Thomas. She begins to understand the subtle advice from publisher Mickey: knowing when to leave the party is a crucial skill for interns.
The feature film debut, "Magazine," which explores these themes, has recently premiered at TIFF. Global Constellation has acquired the international sales rights for the project, with UTA and After Hours representing North American distribution.
