Ines Basic has recounted a surprising and awkward encounter with Sam Ball, her former flame from Married At First First Sight, years after their cheating scandal. Basic revealed that she ran into Ball at a shopping center late last year, an event she described as unbelievable given they had not seen each other since 2019.
During the chance meeting, Basic noticed Ball with another woman and experienced an uncomfortable moment when they locked eyes. She later encountered him again in a store, further escalating the awkwardness before she left. Basic also discussed the significant trolling and racist comments she received from viewers after the show aired, to the extent that network security was hired to escort her to events.
Basic reflected on the scandal, admitting it was immature and insane to watch from her current, more mature perspective. Their controversial romance was a major scandal in the Married At First Sight history, involving a secret sleepover and plans to leave the experiment together, before Sam famously ghosted Ines.
