Summary
- Madrid Audiovisual Cluster hosts innovation program at Iberseries.
- Eight case studies explore AI, new business models, and tech.
- Focus is on AI as a tool, not an end in itself for creativity.

The Madrid Audiovisual Cluster (MAC) is presenting a two-day industry event focused on innovation within the audiovisual sector at the Iberseries & Platino confab, scheduled from September 29 to October 2, 2026. This program will showcase eight in-depth case studies exploring artificial intelligence, new business models, and emerging technologies.
The sessions aim to illustrate how companies are leveraging innovation to address practical industry challenges. According to Teresa Azcona, managing director of MAC, these studies demonstrate how innovation is reshaping the industry and uncovering new possibilities across its entire value chain. Samuel Castro, co-director of Iberseries & Platino Industria, stressed that AI should serve as a tool to support human-driven storytelling, rather than being the creative endpoint.
Specific case studies include PLIA's AI-powered platform for streamlining film production, TBS Tech Brand Stories demonstrating the integration of virtual production and AI, and Go Global's hybrid dubbing solutions for global content distribution. Xpost Studios will detail innovations in VFX and post-production workflows, while Story Pitcher will present its digital platform connecting creators with producers. Mercedes Santalla will discuss strategies for bringing creative and technology projects to market. Scoutters will showcase its digital location-scouting platform, and HaMo – Paramotion Films will present its real-time animation system for digital puppetry.
The workshop, titled 'Innovation Case Studies in the Audiovisual Industry: New Business Models, AI and Emerging Technologies,' will run from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on September 29, with each of the eight presentations lasting approximately 12 minutes. The following day, September 30, will feature a discussion with producer Rosa Bosch and Tanja Meissner, Director of Berlinale Pro.
