In November 2025, the iconic 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' album by Madonna celebrates its 20th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the Queen of Pop has been busy working on a sequel to the beloved record.
Earlier this year, Madonna shared with her Instagram followers that she is "putting [her] heart and soul into [her] new music" and can't wait to share it with her fans. The original 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' was released in 2005 and went on to become one of Madonna's most critically acclaimed albums, winning a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2007.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary, Madonna has released a special edition of the album on streaming services, featuring three bonus tracks and remixes of the record's four singles. This special release has only heightened the anticipation for the upcoming 'Confessions Part 2' album, which Madonna has referred to by that title in her recent social media posts.
According to a press release from Warner Records, the Queen of the Dance Floor is set to return with a new album in 2026, promising "an exciting new era of creativity and impact." Madonna has been working in the studio with producer Stuart Price, who was also involved in the original 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' album, further fueling the excitement for this highly anticipated sequel.
