- Song reflects on the end of a relationship
- Follows recent single "Yes, Baby" and hints at new album

In October 2025, pop star Madison Beer has released a new single titled "Bittersweet." The pensive track explores the difficulties of coming to terms with the end of a relationship, as Beer croons, "Now that it's over, you blame it all on me. I know I should be bitter, but baby/ Right now I'm bittersweet."
The release of "Bittersweet" marks Beer's return to music this year, following her September 2025 single "Yes, Baby." Prior to these new tracks, her last release was "15 Minutes" in July 2024. Earlier this year, Beer earned a Grammy nomination for her 2024 single "Make You Mine."
Fans can expect more new music from Beer in the near future, as a press release for "Yes, Baby" promised that additional songs would be arriving "sooner than you think." Beer's most recent album, Silence Between Songs, was released in 2023, and she spent much of last year touring in support of the record.
