Under the supervision of Kodagu SP Ramarajan, over 1,500 policemen were deployed to provide security and manage the large crowds. This was a precautionary measure following recent stampedes in Bengaluru and Karur, Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Kannada singer and composer Raghu Dixit's performance on the previous night had also enthralled the audience in Gandhi Maidan during the Ayudha Puja celebrations.
Gonikoppal Dasara also attracted a significant number of spectators, with a parade of 15 tableaux, including seven by various government agencies, being taken around the town in the evening.
