Actress Madhuri Dixit has recently refuted claims that she was four months pregnant while filming the celebrated song "Dola Re Dola" for the 2002 film "Devdas." The rumor, initially spread by a former associate of choreographer Saroj Khan, gained traction online.
Dixit, speaking to SCREEN, clarified the timeline by stating, "Arin is born in 2003. So, you do the math." Her elder son, Arin Nene, was born on March 17, 2003, significantly after "Devdas" premiered in May 2002 and released in July 2002.
Although she denied being pregnant, Dixit acknowledged that the filming process was strenuous. She was experiencing fatigue due to frequent travel between India and the US and working on night shoots, which impacted her well-being.
"Devdas" was one of Madhuri Dixit's final films before she took a hiatus to prioritize her family life. She and her husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, also have a younger son, Ryan, born in 2005. The song "Dola Re Dola," featuring Dixit alongside Aishwarya Rai and choreographed by Saroj Khan, remains a memorable highlight of Bollywood cinema.
