Summary
- Sam Vanderpump awaits a life-saving liver transplant.
- He previously battled sepsis and end-stage liver disease.
- A new documentary chronicles his health journey and parenthood.

A poignant new documentary series is set to air on E4, chronicling the challenging health journey of Made in Chelsea personality Sam Vanderpump. The two-part series will detail his wait for a critical organ transplant.
Two years prior, Vanderpump experienced a near-fatal battle with sepsis, a condition he now actively raises awareness for as an ambassador for the UK Sepsis Trust. He previously shared that flu-like symptoms and intense thirst preceded his sepsis diagnosis.
Last year, Vanderpump received a diagnosis of end-stage liver disease, necessitating a liver transplant. The documentary will follow him and his wife, Alice, as they prepare for parenthood while he awaits surgery.
The series promises an intimate look at the couple's life, capturing significant milestones such as their wedding and the birth of their son, Marmaduke, welcomed on February 9th of this year. His mother, Lisa Vanderpump, and his wider Chelsea circle also provide support.
While a release date is not yet specified, the documentary is expected this spring. Channel 4's Senior Commissioning Editor stated the series hopes to illuminate the struggles of organ transplant waiting lists and offer insight into the joy and hope that can coexist with serious illness.
