Maddox Jolie-Pitt, son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has reportedly initiated legal proceedings to change his surname. Documents filed indicate a desire to alter his name from Maddox Jolie-Pitt to Maddox Chivan Jolie, a move that would remove his father's surname.

This development marks the fourth instance among the six Jolie-Pitt children to distance themselves from their father's name, following recent instances with siblings Shiloh, Zahara, and Vivienne. Maddox's professional work, credited as Maddox Jolie, has also seen him work as an assistant director with his mother.

The legal request is reportedly awaiting formal court approval. The situation unfolds against the backdrop of a contentious divorce finalized in 2024 and an ongoing dispute concerning the ownership of the couple's French winery, Chateau Miraval.
