Mom's Kitchen Chaos: Reality Show Serves Up Laughter

A new reality cooking show, Maa Hai Na, is set to premiere on ZEE5 on June 12, hosted by Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The non-fiction series centers on the dynamic between mothers and their children as they participate in culinary challenges. The show aims to explore family relationships, communication, and shared comfort through a cooking contest format.

Maa Hai Na is described as a high-energy comedy show with warmth at its heart. It features celebrity contestants, digital creators, and television personalities. The competition evolves into a journey of rediscovery, emphasizing love, lessons, and the lifelong bond between children and their mothers.

Adding to the excitement, television personalities Ali Asgar and Chandan Kumar, along with comedian Gaurav Kapoor, will join the show. They are set to introduce interruptions and twists to heighten the pressure and humor, making the challenges less predictable.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra noted that the trailer instantly evoked the emotional and chaotic nature of kitchens in Indian families. She highlighted that Maa Hai Na captures not just cooking, but also the small, often-taken-for-granted moments between a mother and child, filled with laughter, pressure, nostalgia, and genuine emotions.

The announced contestant pairings include Sunita Ahuja with daughter Tina Ahuja, Urvashi Dholakia with son Kshitij Dholakia, and Tanya Mittal with mother Sunita Mittal, among others. The show emphasizes the belief that with a mother's presence, anything is possible.
