17 Nov, 2025
Summary
- Lyrical Media acquires Line Mileage to tap into global demand for adult animation
- Lyrical Animation to produce animated features, including adaptations of bestselling novels and games
- Lyrical Media expanding into film, games, and animation under one company

In a move to tap into the global demand for adult animation, Lyrical Media has acquired Line Mileage and launched a new division called Lyrical Animation. The three partners from Line Mileage will join Lyrical Animation, with Jacob Robinson as head, Daniel Dominguez as Creative Director, and Brad Graeber as an adviser and production consultant.
Collectively, the team has produced fifteen seasons of adult animated series. Lyrical Animation's current projects include an animated feature adaptation of the bestselling young adult novel "Hell Followed With Us," which is in development with Lilly Wachowski, and an anime feature adaptation of the action-adventure game "Death Stranding," written by Aaron Guzikowski.
This expansion into animation follows the launch of Lyrical Games, a privately funded indie publisher that has forged a partnership with Blackbird Interactive and has three projects underway. Lyrical Media is also in post-production on several films, including Adam Wingard's "Onslaught" and Michael Sarnoski's "The Death of Robin Hood," both of which will be distributed by A24.
"Every move we make at Lyrical is toward a larger vision: empowering creators to bring bold stories and worlds to life, across every format," said Lyrical Media founder and CEO Alexander Black. "The Line Mileage team are among the most accomplished and forward-thinking voices in animation - their creative vision, deep production expertise, and ability to build global fandoms make them the perfect partners as we continue expanding what Lyrical Media can be."
