Luna Media Launches to Spotlight Unseen Stories in Film

Munika Lay and Toni Wang have established Luna Media, a new production company dedicated to "shine a light on unseen stories" across film, television, and digital content. The company's first feature, "Tap Twice," directed by and starring King Bach, has already completed production.

Luna Media is also launching Luna Lab, a development initiative designed to foster greater representation within the entertainment industry. The program began this summer with a screenwriting component, selecting six finalists from a large applicant pool.

These finalists participated in a four-month program that included workshops, meetings, and mentorship. The initiative culminated in a Luna Lab Pitch Day in Los Angeles, where projects were presented to industry professionals. Additional information on the finalists and their scripts is available.

Lay brings extensive experience from Miramax and other major studios, while Wang has a background in music and producing. Both founders expressed a desire to create more authentic on-screen representation, particularly for Southeast Asian communities.
