Lulu Admits Savile Was 'Ridiculous'

Scottish singer Lulu has shared her candid thoughts on the late entertainer Jimmy Savile, whom she described as "weird" and "ridiculous." Lulu expressed astonishment at Savile's remarkable success, stating she often wondered how he achieved such widespread recognition.

During her career, Lulu frequently encountered Savile, who was a prominent figure in television. She noted that while she never had personal issues with him, his public persona struck her as odd. Lulu believes her childhood experiences likely influenced her perception of Savile, making her particularly perceptive.

Savile, a once-celebrated television personality, was later revealed to be a prolific sex offender with numerous victims. His crimes came to light only after his death in 2011 at the age of 84. Lulu also mentioned she cannot recall if she ever appeared on Savile's show, "Jim'll Fix It."
