Lucknow Celebrates Photography: Art, History, Future

Lucknow is currently hosting the Sixth All India Photography Exhibition, a showcase of photographic art and evolving practices. Organized by the College of Arts Photographic Society (CAPS) at Lucknow University, the event opened on Tuesday, August 15, 2026, and will continue until Thursday, August 17, 2026. The exhibition is dedicated to the renowned Indian photographer Raghu Rai.
Visitors can view approximately 155 photographs from more than 80 participants nationwide. The displayed works span creative, fashion, product, wildlife, landscape, and documentary genres. Additionally, the exhibition includes rare books from the college's collection, some over a century old, offering insights into photography's historical development. Projects by former professor P C Little demonstrating creative digital manipulation are also featured.
