Mexican music icon Lucero is set to release her new album, "Fuertes Declaraciones," in February 2027. This 14-track project sees the singer boldly embracing new genres within regional Mexican music, including sierreño and tumbado, styles she has not previously recorded.
The album's title track, "Fuertes Declaraciones," was released on July 30 as the first single. Lucero stated her intention to innovate and explore different sounds without compromising her essence.
"Fuertes Declaraciones" will include three covers and three collaborations with artists such as Majo Aguilar, Joss Favela, and Los Ángeles Azules. Lucero plans to release one song monthly leading up to the album's debut.
Reflecting on her extensive career, Lucero also discussed her enduring relationship with her ex-husband Manuel Mijares, with whom she continues to perform, and her pride in her daughter Lucerito's burgeoning music career.
