Ranbir Kapoor Confirms Love & War Release Postponed
15 Feb
Summary
- Love & War release postponed to avoid clash with Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic.
- The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial will now release after Ramayana Part 1.
- Film's new target is late 2026, likely December, post Ramayana's October release.

Ranbir Kapoor has officially confirmed that the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial venture, Love & War, has been postponed. This strategic move aims to prevent a direct box-office confrontation with major upcoming sequels.
The film, which features a prominent cast including Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, was originally scheduled for a Christmas 2025 release, later moved to March 20, 2026. However, it will now be released after Kapoor's other anticipated project, Ramayana Part 1.
Ranbir Kapoor confirmed this update during an Instagram Live session. Ramayana Part 1 is slated for an October release, positioning Love & War for a late 2026 release, possibly in December. This revised schedule provides the romantic saga commercial breathing room.
The decision stems from the crowded March 19, 2026 weekend, which already includes major releases like Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic. By delaying Love & War, filmmakers aim to give Bhansali's film a clearer path to audiences.
