Love & War: Ranbir, Alia Reunite for 2026 Release

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's highly anticipated romantic drama, Love & War, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 21, 2026. This strategic release during the Republic Day weekend offers a significant box office opportunity, with the film benefiting from a four-day extended opening. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will reunite on screen for the second time, following their collaboration in the fantasy action-adventure Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva.

The ensemble cast also includes Vicky Kaushal, who is fresh off the success of Chhaava, and Ranbir Kapoor, who is returning after the blockbuster Animal. Their dramatic love triangle, set within a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, is considered a major selling point. Brahmastra, their previous joint project, had an opening of 37 crore net across all languages on September 9, 2022, making it the second-highest opening of that year in Hindi cinema.

Love & War is expected to release in three languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film's box office potential will be closely watched, particularly to see if it can surpass the 37 crore opening of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's first film together.
