Love Is Blind Star Marries in Chicago

Love Is Blind alum Mallory Zapata exchanged vows with Rigoberto Limas on Friday, September 18th, in a Chicago wedding attended by 182 guests. The couple chose their hometown, calling it the "best city in the world," to celebrate their next chapter.

The wedding aimed for a "clean, classic and romantic" vibe, weaving together Zapata's Polish heritage and their shared Mexican culture. A palette of black, white, and deep merlot florals set an elevated yet personal tone for the event.

Zapata, who appeared on season 2 of Love Is Blind, described wedding planning as stressful but a team effort with Limas. She wore a Rita Vinieris gown and walked down the aisle to "Cornfield Chase" from Interstellar, a film she felt symbolized love across time and space.

Zapata's mother officiated the ceremony, a poignant moment given her parents' recent 55th anniversary. The couple honored lost family members with an ofrenda and featured Mexican cuisine for dinner, including poblano chicken and barbacoa.

Instead of a traditional cake, guests enjoyed a dessert spread with Mexican pastries and kolacky cookies. Their first dance was to a Chicago house song, further infusing the celebration with personal touches that reflected their journey and shared interests.

Zapata and Limas, who met on Hinge, became engaged in March 2025 during a trip to Tokyo. They are now looking forward to their honeymoon in Greece, Croatia, and Spain, and the continuation of their life together.
