Love is Blind Star's Arm Retouched in Promo Photo

Emma Betsinger, a participant on Netflix's "Love is Blind," has spoken out about the retouching of her promotional photos. A full-body image released in January appeared to smooth over scarring on her left arm, which resulted from early childhood surgeries to remove birthmarks with a high melanoma risk.

Betsinger expressed surprise at the alteration, noting that the scarring is a part of her identity. She admitted to not realizing the extent of the editing until friends pointed it out.

The reality star also shared her astonishment at the program's focus during the "pod" phase, which heavily emphasized her past medical issues, her experience as a transnational adoptee, and her concerns about having children.

She felt this narrative overshadowed other aspects of her journey, leading to a perception of her as someone "trauma dumping." Despite this, Betsinger acknowledged the positive feedback and resources shared by viewers.

Regarding her relationship with fiancé Mike Gibney, Betsinger clarified that discussions about children were their primary "hiccup" but not the sole focus of their interactions, which she described as fun and safe.
