Love Is Blind Star Kacie Pleads for Empathy Amid Backlash

In a recent statement, Love Is Blind season 9 contestant Kacie McIntosh addressed the backlash she has faced since her appearance on the reality TV series. The 32-year-old hair and makeup artist acknowledged that she "made mistakes" during her time on the show, but claimed there is more to the heavily edited story than what has been aired.

Kacie's engagement to Patrick Suzuki, 30, ended just hours after they met in person, despite her earlier proclamations of love. Kacie explained that she did not feel a strong enough physical attraction to Patrick and believed it would be unfair to him to continue the relationship. However, she did not break off the engagement directly, instead telling him she did not want to take the cast's post-pods trip to Mexico.

Patrick, who was also involved in a love triangle with Kacie and another contestant, Anna Yuan, 28, has since asked fans to "take it easy" on Kacie and the rest of the season 9 cast. He expressed that he still feels positively about Kacie and plans to continue dating her, despite her change of heart.

Kacie has also pleaded with critics to stop sending her death threats and to leave her friends and family out of the negativity, as they did not choose to be part of the experiment. As the episodes continue to air, the drama surrounding Kacie and Patrick's relationship is sure to captivate viewers, though Kacie hopes to soon share her side of the story.
