Twenty-five years after its premiere, "Love & Basketball" is being honored as part of NBA All-Star Week, underscoring its lasting impact on the perception of women's basketball. The film's cultural significance will be showcased at the HBCU First LOOK Film Festival on February 12th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. PT, held at the Maybourne Beverly Hills. The panel, titled "25 Years of Love & Basketball: A Celebration of Women in Sports," will be moderated by CNN anchor Laura Coates. Featured participants include director Gina Prince-Bythewood, lead actress Sanaa Lathan, sports journalist Cari Champion, and broadcasting pioneer Jayne Kennedy. OWN will further commemorate the anniversary with a special Valentine's Day screening on February 14th.
