- Despite a fun premise, the storytelling is considered uninteresting and predictable.
The Tamil series 'Love Always' presents a unique premise inspired by a popular Korean webtoon, where a couple in their fifties mysteriously transform into their 20-year-old selves. This magical event occurs as their family prepares for a vow renewal, amidst the wife's request for a divorce.
The show attempts to delve into themes of family, communication, and the importance of staying together. It highlights how problems can be resolved through proper dialogue and addresses generational trauma. Despite the engaging theme, the series is criticized for its dated, TV-serial-like treatment and predictable subplots.
While the younger actors Gouri Kishan and Ramzan bring some energy, their chemistry is a highlight in an otherwise dull narrative. The series fails to deeply explore character dynamics or the potential of its central concept, leading to an underwhelming climax and a testing viewing experience.
