Nate Amos's 2024 album, "Box for Buddy, Box for Star," is set to be re-released as a "Super Deluxe" version on April 17. This expanded edition will consist entirely of cover songs, reimagined by a variety of established artists.
The formation of Power Snatch, a new side project by Hayley Williams and Daniel James, was directly inspired by their decision to cover the song "Perfect Hand" from Amos's original album. They cited a long-standing admiration for Amos's songwriting as a driving force behind their involvement.
Notable artists contributing to the "Super Deluxe" edition include Jeff Tweedy with Fantasy of a Broken Heart covering "My Boy Limbo," Waxahatchee on "Where's Your Love Now," and Momma performing "A Song That Sings About You." The tracklist also features contributions from Sasami, Tim Heidecker, MJ Lenderman, Snail Mail, and members of Amos's own family, Bob and Sarah Amos.
