Longleat Safari Park recently concluded its 60th anniversary celebrations with a breathtaking "Icons of the Skies" event. The skies above the historic stately home were filled with a dazzling array of hot air balloons and aerial performances.
Among the highlights were the G Force Aerobatics team and the high-intensity parachute display by the RAF Falcons. This event also commemorated 50 years since Longleat hosted its inaugural ballooning event. Longleat, which opened its doors in 1966, holds the distinction of being the first safari park established outside of Africa.
The park is now home to more than 120 species of critically endangered or vulnerable wild animals.
