London is poised to gain its most expansive theatre yet, with plans for a new 3,000-seat venue receiving approval. Greenwich Council has greenlit the project, which will feature two separate auditoriums, each with a capacity of 1,500 seats. This development will surpass the current largest theatre, the London Coliseum, in terms of audience capacity.
Construction is anticipated to start in June on the eastern side of the Greenwich Peninsula. Troubadour Theatres, already operating venues in Wembley Park and Canary Wharf, stated the new establishment aims to enrich London's cultural scene and provide enduring audience experiences.
