The dark fantasy superhero film, directed by Kalyani Priyadarshan, has achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the only Malayalam movie to enter the prestigious 300 crore club worldwide.

In just 45 days, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has registered a whopping net earnings of 155.25 crores in India. This makes it the most profitable Malayalam film of 2025 and one of the most profitable Indian releases this year. The movie, made on an estimated budget of 30 crores, has already generated returns of 125.25 crores, solidifying its status as a commercial success.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has now joined the league of other big-budget Indian films like Mahavatar Narsimha and Saiyaara by entering the top 10 highest-grossing Indian movies of 2025 at the worldwide box office. Currently ranked 8th, the film is inching closer to surpassing the global lifetime collections of Housefull 5, which stands at 304.12 crores.
