Logan Paul has embarked on a new, ambitious quest to secure a Pokémon card that may not currently exist. The controversial entertainer documented his pursuit in a recent one-hour mini-documentary on YouTube. His objective is to find and obtain a Pikachu card graded a perfect 10 by the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA).
The origin of this sought-after card traces back to 1996 and a Japanese comic, CoroCoro. Specifically, issue 223 contained Pikachu and Jigglypuff cards that were peelable from sheets. Despite many existing, none have reportedly achieved a perfect PSA 10 grade.
Paul's documentary follows his efforts to buy copies of the comic and pre-production sheets. He hopes to peel a Pikachu of sufficient quality to achieve the 'Gem Mint 10' status. The outcome of his quest will be revealed during a live stream on July 30 at 9:30 p.m. EST on his YouTube channel.
