LMGI Awards Honor Top Filming Locations of the Year

The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) Awards ceremony recently concluded, honoring excellence in the use of filming locations for motion pictures, television, and commercials. Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" secured the award for outstanding locations in a contemporary feature film, with shooting spanning multiple locations in California and Texas. Josh Safdie's "Marty Supreme" received the award for outstanding locations in a period feature film, utilizing sites across New York City, its greater metropolitan area, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, and Tokyo.

For television, "Pluribus" was awarded outstanding locations in a contemporary series, having been filmed in New Mexico, Montana, Nevada, and Spain. "Fallout" earned the award for outstanding locations in a period television series, showcasing various Californian desert and valley locales. The limited series "Black Rabbit" was recognized for outstanding locations in an anthology, movie, or limited series, with filming primarily around New York City.

The event also celebrated individuals for their significant contributions. Vince Gilligan received the Eva Monley Award for his career-long dedication to location-based storytelling. Additionally, veteran location manager Mike Fantasia was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his extensive work on major film productions.
