Calderstones Park in Liverpool is currently hosting its sixth annual Christmas Story Trail, this year drawing inspiration from award-winning author Jarvis' book, 'Mr Santa'. The event, organized by The Reader charity, invites visitors to embark on an hour-long, self-led trail featuring 12 interactive clues scattered throughout the park.
This festive experience is available on Saturdays and Sundays until December 31st, with bookable time slots. Additionally, children will have a special opportunity to meet Jarvis at the Mansion House on December 7th for a reading and a drawing activity inspired by his book. Participants in the main trail also receive a complimentary copy of 'Mr Santa' to take home.
A special 'Mini Christmas Trail' is also offered on Fridays in December for toddlers and young children aged one to four. All ticket proceeds from the trail and the author meet-and-greet will directly support The Reader's vital 'shared reading' groups, which foster connection and well-being through literature.
