A private presentation of Douglas Carter Beane's acclaimed 2006 play, "The Little Dog Laughed," is scheduled for March 4 in New York City. Luke Macfarlane and Cooper Koch will lead the cast in this Broadway-bound production. Sheryl Kaller is directing the invitation-only event.
The play, a comedy examining the darker side of Hollywood stardom and its impact on personal lives, originally debuted on Broadway in 2006. The production featured Tom Everett Scott as a closeted movie star and Johnny Galecki as his secret lover.
Billy Porter, a celebrated Tony, Grammy, and Emmy winner, is attached to the reading, portraying a revised role of the agent.
