Fragrant Nature Film Creations (FNFC) has secured the Indian distribution rights for the critically acclaimed French animated film, "Little Amélie or the Character of Rain." This acquisition signifies the launch of FNFC's dedicated international acquisitions and distribution division. The film, which garnered nominations at the Oscars, BAFTAs, and Golden Globes, is based on Amélie Nothomb's novel "The Character of Rain."
The acclaimed production by Maybe Movies and Ikki Films will debut in India at the AniMela festival, scheduled for February 22 at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai. Following its festival premiere, "Little Amélie" is set for a broader national release across India. This strategic move by FNFC aims to build a curated international film slate alongside its existing production projects, recognizing the growing demand for high-quality global animation in the Indian market.
