Swedish artist Li has unveiled her latest musical offering, The Afterparty, her first full-length album since 2022's EYEEYE. This new record was meticulously crafted in Stockholm, featuring the rich soundscape of a 17-piece orchestra complemented by what Li describes as "apocalyptic bongos."
Li expressed a distinct artistic vision for The Afterparty, intentionally steering away from prevailing discussions of the "higher self." Instead, the album directly confronts and explores the "lower self," delving into potent emotions such as the desire for revenge, feelings of shame, and deep despair.
To coincide with the album's release, Li has scheduled an array of live performances. Fans can look forward to her appearance at both weekends of Coachella this April. Additionally, she is set to perform in London alongside Wolf Alice and in Mexico City with Robyn.
