Filming for the seventh series of the acclaimed drama Line Of Duty is scheduled to commence in Spring 2025. Stars Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar recently enjoyed a bonding weekend at McClure's Nottingham home, ahead of their return to set. The duo will reprise their roles as Detective Sergeant Kate Fleming and Superintendent Ted Hastings, respectively.
The upcoming six-part series, set to begin filming in Belfast, will see AC-12 disbanded and reformed as the Inspectorate of Police Standards. The central plot will revolve around a sensitive case involving Detective Inspector Dominic Gough, accused of sexual predation, hinting at a possible larger conspiracy operating in the shadows.
Lead actors Martin Compston, Vicky McClure, and Adrian Dunbar are all returning. Compston shared his excitement about the new scripts, describing them as a "proper page turner." The series' return aims to address fan disappointment following the controversial ending of series six, where Det Supt Ian Buckells was revealed as 'H'.
