26 Mar
Summary
- A tenth of the population gains telepathic powers suddenly.
- Newly-telepathic Boston police confront a dangerous faction.
- The plot is inspired by the AWA graphic novel 'Telepaths'.
A groundbreaking graphic novel is set to inspire a new feature film. The AWA graphic novel 'Telepaths' by J. Michael Straczynski, Steve Epting, and Brian Reber, serves as the basis for the upcoming movie 'Liminal.'
The source material imagines a world where an electromagnetic disturbance grants telepathic abilities to one-tenth of the population. This sudden surge in powers complicates life for newly-telepathic Boston police officers.
These officers find themselves facing a rogue faction led by an escaped prisoner. This group aims to flee a society where their unique abilities make them targets for persecution.
'Liminal' is being developed by Apple Studios, with Justin Rhodes penning the script. Producers include Zach Studin for AWA Studios, Kevin Walsh for The Walsh Company, and others involved with Apple Studios and The Walsh Company.
