Actress Lily Collins has joyfully recovered her engagement ring, which was stolen almost three years ago. The custom piece, featuring a rose-cut diamond on a thin gold band, was among belongings taken from The West Hollywood EDITION hotel's spa in May 2023. The theft, classified as over $10,000, prompted an investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff.
Months later, a Chicago-based jeweler, @joethejewelerchicago, was able to help recover the sentimental item. Collins expressed profound gratitude on Instagram Stories, stating the ring's return means a great deal to her and her husband, Charlie McDowell. The jeweler, located on Jewelers Row, specializes in custom and estate jewelry.
Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell, who got engaged in September 2020, welcomed their daughter, Tove Jane McDowell, via surrogate in January 2025. The recovery of her engagement ring adds another layer of happiness for the family.
