In a creative Halloween costume choice, singer Lily Allen has dressed up as Madeline, the iconic character from the beloved children's book series. The 40-year-old shared a video of herself vogueing to Cardi B's "Magnet" while wearing Madeline's signature blue coat, red bow, and black Mary Janes.

Allen's costume is a clear nod to the media storm surrounding her new song "Madeline" from her latest album West End Girl. In the track, the narrator confronts a woman named "Madeline" whom she believes had an affair with her husband. Allen, who separated from her husband of five years, actor David Harbour, in February 2020, has said her album "could be considered autofiction" and draws from her own marital troubles.

The album also features other songs exploring the breakdown of trust in a relationship, such as "Pussy Palace" and "Dallas Major." Allen has been open about the personal nature of her latest work, stating that while it is "inspired by what went on in the relationship," it is not entirely factual.
